Congratulations to Dr. Behnam Jafarpour and his team for being awarded funding by the U.S. Department of Energy to Apply Machine Learning to Geothermal Exploration.
The project title is “Enabling Efficient Surveillance, Control, and Automation of Geothermal Operations with Advanced Predictive Analytics”. The project is aimed at developing advanced machine learning and data analytics technologies that can be used to optimize energy production from geothermal reservoirs and automate the geothermal power-plant operations.
The research area of this proposal is of great importance for maximizing the utility of monitoring and energy production data and will serves to enhance the efficient of complex operations in geothermal reservoirs.
