Congratulations to Energi Simulation Research Chair Apostolos Kantzas for winning the ASTech Award in Digital Innovations in Energy and Environmental Stewardship!
Apostolos has been a pioneer in non-invasive imaging and oil-recovery technologies, including leading Canada’s first use of X-ray CT in oilfields. He has held several major research leadership roles, among them the Canada Research Chair in Energy and Imaging and the NSERC AITF/iCORE Industrial Research Chair in Unconventional Resources.
As the Founder of PERM and the TIPM Lab, Apostolos leads the Energi Simulation GeoEnergy Centre, advancing innovative technologies that enhance energy research and drive the future of sustainable resource development.
